Though some progress has been made on power restoration, approximately 1700 ConEd customers in the Village are still without power. We have been told that the system restoration time is by Sunday. Crews were working today to restore lines that were feeding power into the Village. We have made them aware of the urgent need to consistently have restoration crews in the Village.
We have also notified Verizon and Altice that Internet connectivity is very limited. As a result, the cellular network is overburdened resulting in spotty phone service.
Pool complex will be open tomorrow for swimming, device charging and cooling from noon to 6 pm. The library and Village Hall are also open. Call or text 914 420-0383 to speak with Village staff from 8:30-4:30.
Many stop lights are out. PLEASE drive with caution. Intersections without traffic lights should be treated as 4-way stop. When ConEd shares dry ice locations for tomorrow we will post on Facebook and under news on Village website. We know this very challenging time is further complicated by the power outage. Please know the Village is doing all we can to advocate for power restoration.
