Connecting New Yorkers With Their Lost Money
State Comptroller DiNapoli oversees more than 39 million unclaimed funds accounts valued at $15.5 billion and has made it a priority to help connect New Yorkers with what is rightfully theirs. To help with this effort, staff from the Comptroller's Office of Unclaimed Funds will be attending community events across the state this month to help residents search for their lost money. Those who cannot make it to these events can search for and claim their money by using the online claiming system or by calling 1-800-221-9311 (Mon.-Fri., 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.).
