2020 Camp Information

Camp Iroquois, for children entering grades K-6, will open on Monday, July 6th. 

There are a limited amount of spaces in camp this summer due to department of health requirements. We are only accepting applications from Mount Kisco residents (those who pay both their town and school taxes to the Village/Town of Mount Kisco.) If you registered for camp before the COVID-19 pandemic, you have first priority and will be contacted shortly to confirm your continued interest in camp. 
Camp will be six weeks, and the fee will be $600 per child.

  • Hi Everyone,

The protocols for 2020 Summer Camp Iroquois is as per the CDC, Governor, County Executive, Mayor, Mount Kisco Recreation Commission, and the Recreation Department Superintendent.
We will Mandate;

  • Camp Hours are 9:00AM - 3:00PM.
  • That group size will be limited to ten (10) campers per group.
  • That there will be two (2) counselors per group.
  • That every staff member’s temperature will be taken at check in location prior to attending camp daily.
  • That every camper’s temperature will be taken at check in location in your car prior to attending camp daily.
  • That every camper will need to provide and wear an appropriate facial mask, every day.
  • That every camper will have the option to provide and wear gloves when they want.
  • That Social Distancing in all groups and throughout camp.
  • That there will be sanitizing stations placed throughout camp.
  • That there will be water stations placed throughout camp.
  • That all specialist locations and supplies will be disinfected before and after group use age.
  • That all specialist are creating social distancing activities.
  • That campers will need to provide their own lunch every day (There will NOT be a Snack Bar this summer).
  • That NO sharing of food during lunch.
  • That there will be NO CAMP ON RAINY DAYS.
  • That if called during camp hours due to inclement weather, a parent will have to come pickup their kid(s).
  • That all Groups will;
    • Meet in the Morning outside in a designated area.
    • Will be dismissed using a NEW procedure for campers, parents, counselors due to the pandemic.
    • Have time built in their daily schedule to transition, sanitize themselves and group areas after sessions.
    • NOT have any group to group interactions.
    • Interact with only the Counselors and Kids in their group.
    • Currently swim two (2) times a week.
    • Have their own group supplies depending on the activity.
    • NOT have any trips, entertainment, or transportation.
    • Currently NOT have use of the playground area.
    • Currently have a golf class once (1) a week.  (This is currently the only outside vendor visiting camp).
    • Have a designated area for lunch.

  • That all Parents/Guardians adhere to the following NEW Procedures, Rules and Regulations;
    • Due to CORVID 19, we are limiting the amount of people in the camp areas during camp.
    • NEW Drop Off and Pick Up procedures - Included in revised parent packet, that is in the process of being revised.
    • MANDITORY Temperature CHECKS - Every camper will be checked while in their car, before camp.  PLEASE NOTE:  If your child is diagnosed with a temperature (100 +) that he/she will NOT be allowed to attended camp until the temperature has subsided.  A Doctors Note may be required for your child’s return to camp.  Abide by the rule.
    • Daily “Check In” area - Drive slowly, safely, and STOP at designated “Check In” area for child’s temperature to be checked while in your car, before camp.
    • NEW Drop Off procedures - Parents will “Check In” and if the camper has “No Temperature” proceed to drive along the designated path to the designated Drop Off location.  Staff will be there to greet and escort campers to their designated group area outside.  PLEASE NOTE:  If you need to speak with a counselor or Senior Staff Member regarding any issue please call the Camp Office and make arrangements to schedule an appointment or explain your situation or issue to the staff person answering the call.  Leave your name and number so that we can get back in touch with you regarding your concerns.  Abide by the rule.
    • Late Arriving - If your child is late arriving, you will have to get out of your car and walk with your child to the “Check In” station to get him/her checked in for the day where your child’s temperature will be taken.  If they do not have a temperature (99.99 or Less) they will be escorted to their group.  PLEASE NOTE:  Due to CORVID 19, we are limiting the amount of people in the camp areas during camp.  If your child is diagnosed with a temperature (100 +) that he/she will NOT be allowed to attended camp until the temperature has subsided.  A Doctors Note may be required for your child’s return to camp.
    • EARLY PICK UP - If your child is going to be picked up early, you will have to send in a written note informing the staff and designate who will be picking up the camper.  When arriving please get out of your car and walk to the “Check In” station to retrieve your child.  A staff member will sign them out.  PLEASE NOTE:  Due to CORVID 19, we are limiting the amount of people in the camp areas during camp.  Also, if you send any person NOT on your list of approved pick up people, you will have to provide a note or call into the main camp office with your request.  We prefer written documentation.
    • NEW Pick Up procedures - Parents will arrive at the “Check In” and have the NEW campers sign (Full Name and Group Name) displayed on their dashboard.  A staff member will read the sign and inform the group counselor that your child’s ride is has arrived.  A staff member will escort the camper(s) to your vehicle.  PLEASE NOTE:  Due to CORVID 19, we are limiting the amount of people in the camp areas during camp.  Therefore, please stay in your vehicle.  If you need to communicate with staff member (Counselor) please call the Camp Office and make arrangements to schedule an appointment or explain your situation/issue to the staff person answering your call or leave a message and we will get back to you the following day.  Also, if you send any person NOT on your list of approved pick up people, you will have to provide a note or call into the main camp office with your request.  We prefer written documentation.
