Water and Sewer Utility Billing and Collection

Water and sewer usage is now billed on a quarterly basis, due in February, May, August and November.  The bills are based on consumption multiplied by a rate that is set by resolution.  Click here to see the current water/sewer billing rates.  The bill also includes a meter charge fee.  A five percent (5%) penalty is added to unpaid balances after the billing due dates.  Unpaid water and sewer rents may be levied on the tax roll.

Please note that it is important to notify the Water Billing Department (914-864-0029) of any address changes; any address change request must be made in writing to the water billing clerk.  The property owner is our primary water/sewer customer and is ultimately responsible for the payment of the water/sewer bill.  The Assessor's Office must also be notified of any permanent address changes in order for the property tax bill to be mailed to the correct address.

If you are selling or buying property in the Village/Town, we will prepare a final bill for a fee of $100. An appointment for a final read must be made at least 24-48 hours prior to the reading date.  Please contact Victoria Simoncini to schedule your reading at 914-864-0029 or vsimoncini@mountkiscony.gov .  If a final meter reading and billing is not done, the new property owner becomes liable for any prior unpaid water/sewer utility bill(s).
